Something’s brewing at Riverside........it's competition time! NOTE: Competition now closed

Help us name our special Riverside Festival beer. Come up with a  taste-tingling name for Riverside’s special festival beer and you could win a set of six bespoke T-shirts for you and your friends emblazoned with the name of the beer and your name; and a free round of drinks at the Festival itself.

Oxfordshire’s favourite craft brewer Wychwood is producing an exclusive golden summer beer for this year’s Riverside Festival in Charlbury, Oxfordshire. To christen the glorious pint we’re running a competition to name the beer.

The competition is now closed. We had lots of great suggestions. We will be announcing the winner on Monday 7th May.

The Riverside ale will only be on sale at The Riverside Festival in Charlbury on Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th June.

For more information on Wychwood Brewery visit: Wychwood Brewery

Our friends at twitney have put together a great film about Riverside, taken from the 2010 Festival. Click on the logo to see it now.

Riverside photographer, David Murphy (no not the same one that writes those 'reviews') created a brilliant timelapse video of the building of the main stage.

BBC Intro Tim Bearder and Dave Gilyeat presented their popular BBC Introducing show live from Riverside on Saturday 19th June 2010. The program has been dropped from iPlayer now, but we hope to have it back up to listen to from here soon.

Here's what Tim had to say about Riverside:

‘Incredible festival at the weekend! I came and did the show from there on Saturday and was blown away by the quality of the event'

‘It was really nice to see those great local bands on the main stage. The line-up on Saturday; Charlie Coombes, The Family Machine and ending with Borderville made for a show that many bigger festivals ought to have been seriously envious of.'

‘Please pass on my congratulations to everyone involved it is an amazing example of some genuinely altruistic community spirit.’

Tim Bearder, BBC Radio Oxford
